Popular Poker Variants

Draw poker, Stud poker, and Community card poker are the most popular poker variants that are played worldwide. Draw poker involves dealing complete hand and improving them by replacing the cards, for instance, Five-card draw. In Stud poker games such as Five-card and Seven-card stud, the players handle both face-up and face-down cards. In Community card poker, the players’ hands are completed with the shared face-up cards. It is common to find Omaha hold 'em and Texas hold 'em Community card poker games in both online and offline card rooms.

An Overview of Flop Games

The distinguishing characteristic of flop games is displaying a group of shared cards in the middle of the table soon after the completion of first round betting. The number of hole cards or the cards which the dealer distributes before betting depends on the flop game you are playing. It can be anything from two to four cards which are distributed face down to the players. The dealer turns the three cards present in the middle of the table. Some of the popular flop games are Hold ’em, Pineapple, and Omaha. If two players have exactly the same set of cards then the pot is divided between them.
